I believe that Amanda Marcotte named one of her cats after Molly Ivins. That piece really shows you how much they have in common.

Thanks for this, what a great essay. Great way to remember Molly Ivins. I went to one of those eastern liberal arts colleges where you had to at least pay attention to Camille Paglia. She was sort of an antidote to political correctness, but this would have been even better.
