Speaking of pandering to your blog base...
Feingold may or may not (I say not) pander to his, but the Republican establishment certainly panders to theirs.
is a tall order.
I'm a PhD student in econ at UBC. For fun, I write this blog.

It should be interesting to see if the original Arabic is posted with the translation.
Original Arabic?? No, no, you are to take their word that they translated it accurately. After all, they've shown how attuned they are to the middle east...
Ah yes, I know what you mean nightshift. They do, after all, know more than most of us.
Actually, I looked at one translation. It was very good. I found the original PDF and then a literal translation.
That was the mistake.
The translator was obviously trained in Arabic. I learned it as a kid, in Kuwait, along with nuances. The translator missed several, which in all honesty made no difference.
The truth is, there is nothing I can see in any of the original Arabic documents that provides much, although I did find one which indicated an order had been issued to destroy "solid body containers".
I spent too much time sorting through. Missed a really good post today because of it.
I wish very much that I knew Arabic, dave. I would certainly like to be able to look at AJ and other arabic sources and see for myself what they are being told, as well as compare what I'm being told. I've seen this admin set up enough strawmen to know not to trust anything they claim about things I cannot verify for myself.
