Defending the defence of freedom of speech.
Free speech has a self-selection problem. As an institution, it deserves better than to held up by assholes. Unfortunately, assholes like Ezra Levant (Michelle Malkin, the PowerTools, Hugh Hewitt, Sean Hannity etc. etc.), not to mention the Western Standard's anonymous ignorant Tory sources, are all too happy to pick up the Torch of Freedom and wave it around menacingly until they set something on fire.
On the other hand, there are always exceptions. Like this guy (via Shakespeare's Sister):
Now, a group of Israelis announce their own anti-Semitic cartoons contest. Amitai Sandy, the publisher of Tel-Aviv, Israel-based Dimona Comix, and founder of the contest jokes, “We’ll show the world we can do the best, sharpest, most offensive Jew hating cartoons ever published! No Iranian will beat us on our home turf!”
Very, very cool. Can we trade him for Ezra Levant?
