Adding my little voice to the fray.

Wow. It's quite the fray. Cory Maye should absolutely not be executed. Going by the Agitator's latest account of the caveats and uncertainties involved in the case, the use of capital punishment would be so improper in Maye's case that a reversed verdict on appeal or a grant of clemency wouldn't even really provide a basis for a more general statement on the efficacy of capital punishment. By contrast, if the law does permit Maye to be executed, it'll be proof positive of the immediate need for a federal moratorium.
